Hi! I’m a recent grad from Denison University seeking roles (contract, internship, full time — whatever!) where I can apply my long-time passion for storytelling. Let’s make amazing worlds come to life.

Games
Below are overviews of my personal and group game projects. For detailed breakdowns of each game’s creation process, click here.
Ashes of Tethia is a fantasy game set in an alternate world populated by reptilian humanoids. Through both narrative cutscenes and infinite runner gameplay, the player follows Tahiri, a disaffected dinosaur prince, as he battles the mysterious blight that have overtaken the kingdom, investigates the disappearance of his brother, and interacts with a medley of colorful, opinionated Tethian denizens.
Along with two other writers on a 17-person team, I designed the world; outlined the plot; created and wrote dialogue for 9 distinctive NPCs; storyboarded cutscenes; and implemented feedback from 10 beta readers across three iterations of the script. The project is ongoing and the game is currently unreleased.

Matrimony is a horror/drama Twine game in which an unhappy 1950s bride notices her body morphing in strange, animalistic ways that nobody else seems to notice. The story explores suburban malaise, sexism, illicit queer romance, and revolt against the nuclear family.
I conceived, wrote, and edited the entire project as the capstone to my 2023 Summer Scholars research. The game features 8 endings, 3 chapters, 15 relationship-tracking variables, and almost 500 nodes. It has been played 100+ times on itch.io.

Crossing Fate is a puzzle mystery game wherein the player solves haunted crosswords to unravel the murder of their sister. The dev team consisted of four programmers, one composer, and myself. The story was completely epistolary, told through letters, newspapers, and advertisements. I wrote all in-game text; designed an engaging, story-centric, and solvable mystery; created distinct and probable suspects; and put together interesting and fun crosswords.
Deep Light, my senior thesis, was initially inspired by this project.
Crossing Fate | Sept. 2022-Oct. 2022 | Creative Lead, Writer
Road to Freedom | Nov. 2022-Dec. 2022 | Creative Lead, Writer, Designer
Road to Freedom is an educational game that simulates the experiences of a slave escaping Ohio under the Fugitive Slave Act. Inspired by games like Oregon Trail and Death Road to Canada, the player must manage resources like food while navigating random encounters with natural barriers, dodging the watchful eyes of suspicious locals, and staying one step ahead of slave catchers on their trail.
As the sole writer, I designed, narrated, and balanced all 236 events and encounters the player could face along the way; created walking animations and backgrounds for travel sequences (these were ultimately not implemented); illustrated the cover; and extensively researched the 1850s Ohio.
